Hello World

For over a year I’ve had a task in my todo list - spin up the site on this domain in Drupal 8. Quess what? It never happened. I realized that my posts are too infrequent to warrant the maintenance of a CMS platform to support it. Instead this blog is now powered by markup, GraphQL and GatsbyJS.
Why would a Drupal person do such thing? The answer is straightforward - Drupal is not the solution for every problem. When I first purchased this domain 15 years ago I ran it on a custom CMS called cub3 for a while. Then it was a bunch of PHP and SQL until I converted it into a Drupal site on 4.7. It got upgraded to 5 and then 6. I started the upgrade to 7 and abandoned it after a while.
I have no clue how often this site will get updated, it’s likely to happen when I stuble into something I find interesting.
The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.
