Instant Gratification

These days I don't have much time to knit - I steal half and hour here, half an hour there but don't really get anything major done. Well, There's a sweater I knit for Knit/Purl and in the history of knitting must of been the slowest project ever.
Here are some projects I've accomplished lately:

Jumbo Elephant

Jumbo Elephant
I purchased a few odd balls of RYC Cashcotton DK a while back when Knit/Purl was having a sale - couple balls of pink that became Classic One Fifty and some purple. I was itching to knit something small and had bookmarked Jumbo Elephant pattern for future reference - a prefect present for a five year old. In a few years she'll grow out of the pink phase and will love everything purple.

Fetching

I don't need to say much about this pattern - it takes just a ball or two of whatever you fancy and provides instant gratification. I knit mine for a friend who loves orange - it's not a color I'd pick for myself. I might make myself another pair out of a different color of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran as this yarn is a bliss to work with. I have no idea what happens to it after some wear so I'll have to make sure to ask the recipient for feedback in a few months.
